NSMS: Since I separate the two gasses I really have no need for a cosm. So do not bother shipping one to me. Name: Larry Holland. When I ordered it I had not figured out how to separate the gasses yet. And yes my cells are not without problems. So I continue to develop them. But still don't worry about sending a cosm to me. And I hope you find your inner peace soon.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Do whatever you feel is right as far as the cosm orders. After all you are the one in control of your destiny :) Btw for some reason I'm a moderater here. When I look at all the posts I see reply button and delete button. Which doesn't really matter to me. Just thought you might want to know about it. O(^_^)O

Well, I'm still here. I have been away from everything for awhile. If I was superstitious, I would have bailed some time ago. What I mean by that, if you have not been following the blog, is the series of events that have taken place since I started this project. Most recently the death of my father has overshadowed everything else. My parents finally decided to move into a luxury assisted living community. My Dad worked hard at preparing for retirement. Saving and cutting corners everywhere he could. Living as meager as they could...not spending a dime for any luxuries, saving everything for later. He did well for himself and Mom. They were able to afford a very nice place to live out their lives.
The place is like an all inclusive vacation resort. They were there less than one week when Dad was taken to the hospital with chest pains. All the usual test came back as normal. He sounded fine on the phone that Saturday evening... only felt a little pain if he took a deep breath. All the testing so far indicated no serious problems. At 84 years old he was doing OK, some minor ailments from time to time... nothing to worry about. He died early Monday morning from a dissecting aortic aneurism. By the time the doctors determined what was going on he had little time left. We drove all Sunday night to the hospital... Dad died about 15 minutes before we arrived.

So, fine with me to put this to rest as well, anyway we can. I was not satisfied with the cosm3 function. It works, but it is twitchy. I also originally purchased the cosm3, but if I use one it will be the cosm2a. As I have not been able to allocate any time to upgrading the cosm3 design, I recommend sending out the orders for the cosm3 and using it as a cosm2. That is, don't try to set a threshold. I think it will function that way. And yes, the most expensive component the PWM was not included in the assorted pile of parts from John... so no PWM.

Just wanted to let you folks know about my next project. Generating electricity with a pma, fixed gear bicycle wheel, and a high pressure fuel pump to pump the water to spin the wheel. Have most of the parts already.

A long span of silence here.... are you okay? Still alive and breathing? It would be a loss if you vanished for good. How about some communication so your patient friends know all is well?

NSMS - thought I'd check back and see how you are doing, and if you still mean to make good on your promise to deliver the COSM III I paid for several years ago. It's time, I think.

Maybe this will help - the COSM III is complex and tricky to build, and from what I've read here the PWM isn't available, so let's skip the COSM III - send a COSM II and that will satisfy the agreement.

Best, Gary

Hello HHO, welcome back.

NTTG, I see the package has arrived... any questions?
I will see if there is any info left from the original cosm2 site.

I just found an email in my spam folder asking if they could help get caught up. I honestly don't know if it would be worth it for someone to get tooled up and up to speed in fabrication and bench testing.
It is a bitch cutting the faceplate for the meters and drilling for the other components. The cosm3 is much more complicated to assemble than the cosm2. I will be able to continue soon.

NSMS, Thanks for helping out. I found my parts list. It only had the few Items I didn't have on hand and I ordered from different supliers.

NTTG, I'll repeat NSMS's warning, If your soldering skills are weak, try to use a 40 watt iron and do some practicing. Those boards lands are fragile. The "Vendel" mod is a good idea and for the LEDs, look for ones that have 3 volt ratings, some people had problems with lower volt ones burning out.

Don't be shy about asking for help or advice. My site has some other ideas too. The wiring diagrams are correct and use the actual board layout, if not exactly to scale. There is also some "pictures" to help identify and orientate the parts.

OK NTTG, got your email and address. I'm moving a little slow...wife is gone to help her elderly Mother so I'm a bit more bogged down than usual. I will get it out soon.

OK, I found most of the parts... all except a meter, switch, box, knobs. I also found a COSMIIA board ready to go I'll throw in. It has been repaired on the back with a jumper wire where the board got damaged. These boards were made cheap as possible...just plated on one side. They really need to be double sided so the holes in the board are plated through to be more durable. It checks out good to go. You can use it as a guide to build the pcb parts kit included so you have a spare board. Be careful when you assemble the pcb... remember the plating on the back can be easily damaged...it can pop loose from the board and break, then you have to use a wire jumper to repair it. That should get you going. Atfab gave you a link to see the schematic. I think there is a page somewhere on this site that talks about installation. If you have questions you can ask here.
Email me your shipping address to sales@madcosm.com or leave it here.

Wow thank you. Yeah money is tight been supporting my sister and her three kids for over a year now. Their dad is a dead beat and he thought it was ok to put his hands on my sister. He dosnt pay child support or anything. Ihave been doing some research on the hho cell to get better mileage. I drive about 300 miles a week so its desperately needed. The company I work for had to cut hours.

Hello NTTG,
I have been in the background for quite awhile. It was my hopes to keep this project alive. I have not given up on this, just overwhelmed with life like a lot of us are. My 83 yo father is in the hospital and is a six hour drive away... my wife's mother is also in a bad way and is the same distance away. I am not complaining, just need more hours in the day...so some things get neglected.

I will look in the parts pile and hopefully can find what you need and maybe a printed circuit board too.
I will let you know soon. I will send it to you free if I can find it. After it arrives you can paypal the postage cost back to me.
Regards,
NSMS
